Kris began working at Freedom House in the summer of 1996.   Since 2000 she has served as Compliance Coordinator for the agency, now totaling six locations with 66 residential beds.   During her tenure Freedom House achieved four consecutive 3-year CARF accreditations, successfully achieved and maintained licensure through the State of New Jersey, Department of Human Services, and has secured and maintained DCA licensure for three Boarding Homes.

Kris achieved certification as a Drug and Alcohol Counselor (CADC) in 2007, and spent four years working as a Case Manager with The Family Afterward, a Freedom House transitional housing program serving women and children.  On April 1, 2013 Kris was appointed Program Coordinator for The Family Afterward program.

Kris is a 2009 Graduate of the ATTC Leadership Institute.  She has served as Secretary to the Board of Trustees of the Glen Gardner Youth Association from 1997—2007, and Secretary of the Board of Trustees of the Courage to Change Community Club in Easton, PA.  In addition, she has participated on several planning committees at the local level, and continues to participate at the county level in Hunterdon, Somerset, Sussex, Mercer, and Morris counties to address issues relating to substance abuse and the delivery of services.  Kris has served as Freedom House’s agency representative at meetings of the New Jersey Association of Halfway Houses, and NJAMHAA Addictions Committee meetings.

Kris is a Notary Public; her current commission expires in February 2019.

Kris and her husband Tony live in Hampton, New Jersey.  They have four children in their blended family.
