Alcoholics Anonymous®
Alcoholics Anonymous® is a fellowship of men and women who share their experience, strength and hope with each other and find the alcoholism treatment
that works for them to solve their common problem and help others with alcoholism recovery.

Alcoholics Anonymous Big Book Online
The “Big Book” records the personal stories of 42 representative problem drinkers who achieved stable sobriety for the first time through A.A. It also records the suggested steps and principles in the treatment for alcoholism that early members believed were responsible for their alcohol recovery and their ability to overcome the compulsion to drink.

Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF)
The Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities, CARF International is an independent, nonprofit accreditor of long term drug treatment facilities and alcoholism treatment centers along with human service providers in the areas of treatment programs for alcoholism and drug rehab treatment and other rehabilitation, employment, child and family, community, and aging services.

Narcotics Anonymous
Narcotics Anonymous sprang from the Alcoholics Anonymous Program starting as a small US movement that has grown into one of the world's oldest and largest organizations of its type. Narcotics Anonymous is now an international, community-based association of those recovering from drug addiction. Treatment center staff can obtain public information presentations through a local service committee of some NA groups.

National Association of Addiction Treatment Providers (NAATP)
The mission of the National Association of Addiction Treatment Providers (NAATP) is to promote, assist and enhance the delivery of ethical, effective, research-based alcoholism addiction treatment and other drug addiction rehab.

National Institution on Drug Abuse (NIDA)
NIDA supports most of the world's research on the health aspects of drug abuse and drug addiction. Treatment centers count on the rapid and effective transfer of scientific data provided by NIDA along with policy makers, drug abuse treatment center practitioners, other health care practitioners, and the general public.

New Jersey Division of Addiction Services (DAS)
The Director for the Division of Addiction Services (DAS) is responsible for formulating policy in NJ drug rehabilitation ensuring that contract programs and their staff provide efficient and effective treatment and prevention services that reduce the incidence of alcoholism, drug abuse and gambling.  This ensures a statewide network of comprehensive prevention including residential drug and alcohol treatment, transitional living programs and the recovery services of halfway houses in New Jersey meet quality capacity needs to the extent that work force and financial resources are available.

New Jersey Drug Court
The highly specialized team process of New Jersey Drug Court is unique in the criminal justice environment because it builds a close collaborative relationship between criminal justice and the professionals of drug and alcohol treatment. Centers for New Jersey drug rehab and other drug alcohol rehab program professionals are encouraged to remain current in the field by participating in training and education efforts on a state and national level. Together, they maintain a critical balance of authority, supervision, support, and encouragement to cease criminal activity related to the abuse of alcohol and dependency of a drug. NJ rehab professionals count on the efforts of these New Jersey Drug Courts.

The SAMHSA supports the capacity of providers to deliver effective drug and alcohol treatment programs and drug treatment and alcohol rehabilitation
services for people in need. Their vision is a life in the community for everyone. To realize this vision, the Agency has sharply focused its mission on building resilience and facilitating recovery for people with or at risk for mental or substance use disorders.
