Women's Awards Luncheon

Eight years ago Freedom House, Inc. created a program for women and children called “The Family Afterward”.

In an effort to support this program which has grown from two locations to three and returned over 111 children to their mother’s arms, we ran a Mother’s Day Tea. Originally it was held at the Governor’s Mansion and then Hamilton Farms. Last year we started The Family Afterward Women’s Awards Luncheon.

This year we will once again have The Family Afterward Women’s Award Luncheon. The luncheon will be held at Basking Ridge Country Club in Basking Ridge, N.J. on May 7, 2008 from 11:30 am till 1:00pm. Diana Williams of WABC NEWS in New York will be the Mistress of Ceremonies for the event.

Three awards will be presented at this luncheon. The AIG Small Business Award will go to a prominent woman in business. The Family Afterward Treatment Award will  be presented to a woman who has distinguished herself in the addiction treatment  field. The third is the Family Afterward  Graduate Achievement Award. This award is presented to a program graduate who has done an exemplary job of reuniting her family and turning her life around.
